A rug is a flat woven textile that is usually placed on the floor. It is often found around the home but also inside of buildings like offices too. Different types of material such as wool, cotton, silk etcetera are used to make them into these items we use every day in our lives. A more contemporary looking ‘modern’ rug could consist of just one colour with geometric or abstract.

A rug is a great way to add warmth and comfort to any floor. It creates an inviting environment for people and pets alike while also adding style, texture or colour that would not be found on a hard surface such as laminate wood floors. And if you have children then rugs are wonderful at protecting them from the cold ground in winter months!

Rugs can create a sense of cosiness when inside your house. They often provide more protection than just having hardwood floors because they give kids something softer to play on too which means less chance of injury with falls off furniture etcetera. A true definition of “modern” really depends on your personal tastes but it boils down to an overall sense of minimalism combined with utility and function – trends are always coming out so just follow what you like.
